Dentures in Rexburg, ID

Dentures are one of the most popular treatments for missing teeth. Also known as false teeth, they comprise a set of artificial teeth bonded to a plastic or metal base. They are designed to offer full functionality to your teeth. Dentures also enhance your aesthetic appearance, thus a sought-after option to consider.

Whether you are suffering from a few or all missing teeth, you may opt for this treatment. Schedule an appointment with us, and we will create a set of dentures to offer snug fitting.

What are the Types of Dentures?

Complete Dentures

Complete or full dentures are created for patients who have lost all their teeth from the upper or lower jaw. They have two types, conventional and immediate.

Conventional dentures are made after removing all your teeth and letting your gum tissues heal. The duration of treatment is 8-12 weeks. Immediate dentures, on the other hand, are placed right after removing your teeth. They are looked upon as a temporary solution to complete dentures.

Partial Dentures

We may suggest partial dentures if you have one or more missing teeth. We clip them through metal clasps, and they may further be unclipped and removed as per your convenience. The replacement teeth are held using a metal framework attached to a plastic base. Crowns are placed on either side of the gaps of your teeth, further joined by the replacement teeth. The whole arrangement fills the gaps and improves your tooth functionality.

How are Dentures Placed?

We carry out a quick dental examination and take your X-rays to ensure that you are a perfect candidate for the procedure. The impressions of the cast or most of the dentures are made after taking your oral scans. We will also discuss the essential details of the treatment plan on the same day of the appointment.

Once the mold is ready, we will place it in your mouth and check all the fittings before casting the final mold. It ensures that the dentures are fitted properly and align well between your upper and lower jaw. A loosely-fitted denture will be placed to measure the accuracy of the position of your teeth.

The final mold of dentures is cast, and on the day of the appointment, we will attach it in place. Any further changes or alterations are made. We will also give you instructions on how to care for your dentures. Please follow them properly to ensure the long life of your restoration.
